What Do You Think Of… My Final Table NL Poker Play:P?

It was a SNG… got up to 3 players left… chip leader had 80,000 i had 8,800 and 3rd player had 4,500… i folded mostly… and i got QQ on SB chip leader Button… i felt i had to fold like 10 more hands and i would come 2nd for sure…

So i decided to muck QQ preflop… (this is my thinking) it would be so hard for me to actually come 1st that i decide it would be more smart to play for 2nd… then after that go insane… because of this guys massive chip lead… also i didnt want to risk the off chance that my QQ got cracked…

What do YOU think?

Also blinds 300/600 Ante 75 i think…
Short stack was a weak passive player… who would fold A3… in hopes to move up my spot…
Sorry meant to say Chip Leader was Big Blind… when i had QQ and i was SB

In these, the difference between 1st and 3rd is significant, so always try for 1st. Especially w/ SNGs, which you’ll prob play thousands of in the coming years.
On the other hand, the diff between 2nd and 3rd is usually one buy-in in a 9-player SNG. Therefore, it usually pays to incure more risk and attempt to win it all, even if you’re down.
So, I’d NEVER fold QQ there. Even if it’s my last buy-in. What’s he going to call you with? A lower pocket pair? If so, then you’re 80% to win that hand. If he calls you w/ AK, even then it’s a coin flip. And his odds of having KK, AA, or AK are extraordinarily low.
Lastly, by playing the QQ, if you win, you get more chips than your opponent. I would’ve played it strong, either raised 3x or something (but that depends on how they’re playing).
