Yeah, u could be right, and when Ivey calls the tiny bet he as good as tells Lederer that he is drawing to a flush. To be honest I don’t like the play. There is a chance he tricks Ivey into raising but most likely he just gives Phil great odds to draw while getting as little money into the pot as possible when he rates to be well ahead. If he is looking for tricky plays to trap Phil surely a check-raise is better although he’s not to know Ivey floated the flop and hasn’t made the flush already

i think he was making a psychological play or something..a minbet in that situation means that howard has a really strong hand and doesn’t care what phil can peel off- because he’ll still have a really strong hand. at least that’s the only logical reason for him to min-bet in my eyes. He could also make phil ivey think what i just wrote above and get him to fold with a river check raise or something if he does get the flush.
